Description
well carved as luohan seated in a relaxed manner while leaning against a double-gourd behind him, the figure holding the back of a small child with his left hand and grasping tasselled Buddhist prayer beads with his right, dressed in loose robes draped over his emaciated body with a knot freely tied around his lower torso, his protruding ribs and vertebral column conspicuously exposed, his curly hair and thick facial hair naturalistically defined with fine incisions, his thin lips slightly opened and subtly revealing his teeth under his bulging eyes and gaunt cheekbones
Condition
There are minor cracks and brusies to the fragile extremities of the openwork branches. Other surface wear and scratches, but otherwise good condition.
