Description

the deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a slightly everted rim, decorated with two yellow five-clawed dragons striding through cloud swirls and flames above a lappet of lotus petals encircling the foot in mutual pursuit of 'flaming pearls', all reserved against a deep cobalt-blue ground, the interior with a blue-ground medallion enclosing a yellow five-clawed dragon amidst cloud swirls within a single-line border, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue

Condition

There are two faint vertical glaze hairlines to the interior of the bowl, the longest approximately 4 cm. long; three faint glaze crackles to the base of the bowl near the mark, the longest measuring approximately 4 cm. long, all have been stabilized. There is another small nick to the biscuit footrim.
