of compressed spherical form rising to a waisted neck and square-lipped rim, all supported on a recessed splayed foot, the circular main panel divided into five registers on both sides, each register similarly carved in low relief with rectangular panels enclosing archaistic scroll motifs, the curved shoulders flanked by a pair of low-relief taotie mask suspending fixed handles, the stone of a greenish-yellow tone with russet streaks, wood stand

Condition

The overall condition is very good, apart from some typical minute nibbles to the rims. The actual colour is slightly warmer than the catalogue illustration.
