Description

the shallow rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to an everted rim, the interior enamelled in green with three ruyi-shaped cloud swirls encircling a dragon writhing sinuously, all within a single-line border around the medallion and repeated at the rim, the exterior with two further dragons enamelled in green against anhua tumultous waves, all between a single-line bordering the rim and the foot, the recessed base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within double circles

Condition

There are 4 hairline cracks running down from the rim, of 4.3 cm at 2 O'clock, 4 cm at 3 O'clock, 4 cm at 7 O'clock and 2 cm between 7 and 8 O'clock positions. There is 1 pinhole to the rim and another to the interior wall at around 1 O'clock position (visible in the illustration). There are also a few minute kiln chips to the foot.
