  • ink and colour on paper, mounted on a scroll with wood handles
comprising: a calligraphic scroll by Zeng Xi (1861-1930), ink on paper, signed and with one seal of the artist; and a landscape painting by Liang Yuwei (d. 1912), ink and colour on paper, signed and with two seals of the artist, both mounted as a hanging scroll

Condition

The calligraphic scroll has general foxing and brown spots. There are minor losses to the bottom right and top middle section of the painting. The landscape painting is in fair condition with considerable areas of water damage and surface wear, evident to areas including the mid-right border (9x6cm), upper and lower middle of the painting. The painting has been lightly retouched and re-mounted. There are minor areas of loss.
