Description

the baluster body divided into sectioned lobes simulating bamboo, set with a curved spout and loop handle, painted with birds and floral sprays, the stepped cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a twisted bamboo finial

Condition

The teapot with a 1cm hairline rim crack near the handle. There are minor glaze firing imperfections, including firing cracks, burst glaze bubbles and iron spots. The cover with three short 0.7cm firing cracks to the rim, with associated flakes.
