each pear-shaped body rising from a tall spreading foot to a waisted knopped neck, brightly enamelled with two beribboned floral bouquets below large ruyi-shaped lappets enclosing leafy yellow chrysanthemum scrolls reserved on a green ground, similarly decorated in iron-red around the knopped section of the neck, all below a band of stiff plantain leaves and a chevron border at the rim, skirted around the foot with a spear-shaped band above a chevron border enclosing demi-florets

Condition
The vases are in general good condition.
One vase has a 0.5x0.5cm discoloured iron spot to the interior, a 0.7 x 0.4cm chip just below the galleried rim, and a 1.5cm vertical hairline running down the central bulbous section. The foot has a triangular (4 x 1.5cm) area of overpaint and extensive chips around the edge, the largest area measuring 2.5 x 0.5cm. There are minor enamel flaking and glaze firing imperfections.
The other vase has two chips (the largest 1 x 0.7cm), and extensive chips and frits just below the galleried rim. There is a 0.3 x 0.3cm bump to the lower body. The edge of the foot is extensively chipped, the largest measuring 2.5 x 0.5cm. There are minor enamel flaking and glaze firing imperfections.
