Description

  • gilt bronze
cast seated in lalitasana on a lotus base above a rectangular plinth, the right arm raised to the chest and the left hand holding a scabbard, dressed in a dhoti with a celestial scarf around the arms, the chest adorned with beaded necklaces, the face with an austere expression, surmounted by a crown before the high chignon

Condition

There is a crack/ casting flaw running from the right side down across the right leg of the figure, possibly later filled/ repaired. The top of the hair chignon is depressed from impact force. Apart from minor dents, extensive scratchings and rubbing to the gilding, the figure is in good condition.
