  • bronze, wood, carnelian
the body divided into three lobes, rising from three columnar legs to a waisted neck with everted rim, set with a pair of upright loop handles, the exterior covered with malachite and cuprite encrustations, wood cover and Japanese wood box

A Japanese Private Collection, acquired in Japan prior to 1940.

Condition

This vessel is in good condition, but does have a shallow 4cm long dent to one side of the rim,. There is also a 7mm by 7mm hole to the top of one leg.
