Catalogue Note

This important work is an account of Curzon's stay at Erzurum whilst engaged in defining the Persian-Turkish border, much of it unexplored at the time, and is also of great interest for information on the Christian tribes in the area. "His books are well written and they are superior to most travel books" (Ghani).
