Catalogue Note

Crawfurd was an envoy to Cochin China and Siam in 1821 before he became Governor of Singapore in 1823. On a diplomatic voyage he travelled through Thailand, Vietnam, and the Malay Peninsula. The plans are of Bangkok and Singapore and there are also views of both.
