Catalogue Note
VERY RARE. One of the most influential and often reprinted tributes to Captain Cook. It was reviewed and praised in the The Gentleman's Magazine in September 1780: “with the assistance of the Muses, she has raised a trophy worthy of the memory of one of the greatest men this or any age or nation has produced.”
