Condition

Overall the condition of the alabaster is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are some chips to the edges and the handle of the sword. There is some naturally occurring veining consistent with material and there is a naturally occurring stable fissure visible along the chest. There is scratching around the fixing point of the mount on the reverse, which is screwed into the material. The mount is loose on the underside. The modern metal stand is in excellent condition.
