Condition

Overall the condition of the applique is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There is rubbing to the gilding and there are some small nicks to the surface, particularly along the outer edge and on the reverse. There are losses to the floral edge at the top and underside. There are a few minor losses to the enamel, including to the green on the far right and the red in the point of the shield and on the right. Four holes along the edge are meant for mounting.
