his estate sale, Sotheby’s London, 5 December 1989, lot 189;
Sotheby’s London, December 1995, lot 8

Condition

Overall the condition of the corpus is good with wear and some minor dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. The gilding has largely rubbed off and the surface of the metal itself is slightly rubbed at the knee, nose and back of the hands. There are a few minor nicks including on the abdomen and the reverse of the proper right shoulder. There is a corroded nail in the proper right foot. The condition of the modern stand is excellent.
