Condition
Overall in good original condition with the usual wear to the patina in places especially to the top of head, arms and legs consistent with handling and touching. Light scratches consistent with age.
The marble base with chips around edges.

Fontaine exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1877 until 1889. The plaster model for the present model titled Fascination was first exhibited at the Salon of 1895.
