Condition
Overall in good condition and presentation. The marble surface with traces of dirt consistent with handling that can easily be cleaned. Minor scratches and nicks to surface consistent with age.
Extensive visible restoration to all fingers of right hand. The later and associated white marble pedestal with dirt to surface and chips to edges.

Catalogue Note
Petrilli studied in Florence at the Accademia di Belle Arti. He exhibited at the Paris 1900 Exposition Universelle and, like Caradossi and Frilli, he specialized in depicting celestial and ethereal maidens.
