A fine collection of Hughes' work with presentation copies inscribed to his parents and brother. Also included in this lot is a collection of 27 Hughes family snapshots (colour and black-and-white photographs, four of which appear to be original prints). These include images of Ted with his brother Gerald and friends and family at Canterbury Cathedral and in Paris in the early 1950s, together with poignant images of Sylvia (Plath) with Ted and their children Nicholas and Frieda, sometimes with Ted's mother Edith Hughes at various locations in Yorkshire (e.g. Hardcastle Crags, 1946), Devon (Court Green), America, London and elsewhere (various sizes, 1950s to 1990s).
