Condition

This work is in fair condition overall. The canvas has been relined and wax lined. There is evidence of wear and handling. There is craquelure throughout the canvas with small spots of associated loss along the edges. Along the edges, residue from the wax lining is visible. There is evidence of surface soiling and scattered accretions. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is significant inpainting and restoration throughout done to stabilize the craquelure and the wax along the edges fluoresces brightly. Framed.
