Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges and some hairline craquelure at the pull margins, which has led to some very minimal pinpoint areas of loss along the extreme edges. The canvas has been strip-lined. The colors are extremely vibrant, especially considering the age of the painting. There is scattered hairline craquelure visible throughout the work, all of which appears to be stable. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is a faint 2-inch indented in the lower left quadrant that fluoresces darkly and is the result of a repaired tear. There is a faint 1-inch area in the lower right quadrant that fluoresces darkly, which is also the result of a prior restoration. There are some other localized areas where the hairline craquelure has been consolidated. Framed.
