Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling to the edges and some hairline craquelure at the pull margins. There is scattered craquelure throughout, particularly in the thickly painted areas. The canvas is slightly slack on its stretcher and appears to be buckling slightly. There is a faint vertical stretcher bar impression visible along the left side. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are scattered areas that fluoresce darkly and appear to be the result of restoration, particularly along the edges, with the largest spot along the top edge of the canvas, just left of center which is 9 inches long. Unframed.
