South German or Austrian, circa 1500

The proper left arm is lost and there are losses to the tree trunk. There is stable splitting to the wood consistent with the material, particularly at the trunk by the Saint's proper right side at the back and to the terrasse at the back. A section of the ropes binding the legs is lost. The Saint's nose is lost. There are small chips and abrasions, including to the hair. There is wear to the original polychromy throughout, with particular wear to the base. There are holes for now lost arrows. Otherwise the condition is stable with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age.
