Laid down on Richardson mount which in turn is laid down on the backboard. The blue paper has faded quite significantly, evidence of the original colour is still visible around the edges of the sheet. It appears that a separate strip of paper has been added to the top of the drawing. Light scattered foxing around the borders of the mount. There is a tiny hole located towards the left margin at the level of her mouth. Some small defects due to the paper making process. Red chalk remains strong and vibrant. Sold in a gilded frame with decorative beading.
