Condition
This is an earlier work by the artist, and it is certainly more detailed than some of his later works. The painting has never been cleaned or restored. The canvas is stretched on a good stretcher, and there are no reinforcements on the reverse. The condition is excellent throughout the figure. There is a small area of cracking in the center of the left side, but this should not be considered a condition issue. There is a line of slightly raised pigment in the upper left, which also is not a problem. The painting is noticeably dirty and would respond to cleaning.
