註：鮑俊，號逸卿，廣東香山人，道光三年（1823）進士，授翰林院庶吉士，改刑部山西司主事。辭官後，歸故里講學。他擅詩詞書畫，享譽嶺南，有詩詞集傳世。

鮑氏書法作品，傳世者因保存未善，多破損殘缺；如本幅長聯，筆墨酣暢，品相完好，甚為稀見。上鈐「老楞佐印」，或與澳門著名教堂聖老楞佐堂有關。該堂通稱「風順堂」，建於明代中葉，乃當地歷史最悠久教堂之一。濠江香山接鄰，鮑俊有〈行香子．澳門〉詞，內容乃紀遊之作，故本聯可能寫於其地，日後流傳遞藏於澳。
