finely incised with a budding and blooming prunus branch and an inscription of a verse from Zhang Wei's poem Zao Mei, the reverse similarly incised with a prunus branch next to an inscription of a verse from Shen Shixing's poem Mei Hua, all below ruyi-shaped motifs, the upper centre pierced with an aperture in the centre, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour faintly mottled with icy streaks
Condition
The overall condition is very good. There are a few very light surface scratches and typical minor nibbling along the edges, almost imperceptible. The actual colour is consistent, if not slightly warmer compared to the catalogue illustration.
