Description

  • porcelain
with shallow rounded sides supported on a slightly tapered foot, deftly painted on the interior in inky tones of cobalt with a central medallion of interlocking tendrils forming stylised ruyi scrolls, surrounded by eight detached strapwork panels evenly spread around the cavetto, all divided by double circles encircling the medallion and rim, the reverse similarly decorated with ruyi scrolls below a border of alternating 'C' and dots, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark, wood stand

Condition

The dish is in overall very good condition and the tone of blue is very vivid. There is some faint pitting in areas and very minute brown spots to the glaze to the interior.
