the mythical beast carved crouching, with bushy eyebrows and an opened grinning mouth revealing two rows of teeth and a curved tongue, its muscular torso accented by prominently defined ribs and a serrate spine running across its back, its tail tucked under its right hindleg and freely curving upwards over the haunch, the stone of greenish-yellow colour mottled with icy inclusions and faint russet patches, wood stand
Condition
The overall condition is very good with the exception of some surface pitting. The stone has some natural inclusions and veinings. The actual colour is slightly less yellowish than the catalogue illustration.
