carved in openwork with a dragon head terminal forming the hook, confronting a sinuous chilong striding on the arched stem while grasping a leafy spray of lingzhi in its mouth, the finely incised mane of the larger dragon extending in undulous wisps to the side and beneath the stem, the underside further carved with a flattened circular knob for attachment, the translucent stone of brilliant amber colour on top and mottled celadon-white below

Condition
The belt buckle is in overall very good condition. There is a very minor bruise to the tip of the nose of the smaller chilong clambering on the shaft, possibly original to the carving. There are some light pitting and minor wear to the underside. The stone actual colour of the stone is slightly paler and more brown compared to the catalogue illustration. The wood stand is in good condition.
