- ivory
comprising thirty two markers divided in two sets of twelve pieces each, each incised with corresponding symbols and stained in either red or blue, the ivory naturally patinated to a warm yellowing colour
Provenance
Collection of Edward T. Chow, thence by descent.
Condition
All the pieces have age crackles to a varying degree but are generally in good condition. A few pieces are pierced through with a small hole. The actual colour is consistent if not slightly less red compared to the illustration in the catalogue.
