Description

  • Porcelain
of conical form with deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to a gently everted rim, beautifully carved and combed on the interior with a fanciful flower scroll among densely sprouting foliage, covered overall with a transparent glaze pooling to light turquoise blue in the recessed areas, save for the base left in the biscuit and partly burnt orange in the firing

Condition

The bowl is in overall very good condition. There is some expected surface wear to the interior. There are a couple of small flakes in the biscuit to the interior of the footring, characteristic of this type. The actual colour is not as yellow as the illustration would suggest in the catalogue.
