Provenance

Ritchie Hendriks Gallery, Dublin, 1967, where purchased by Mr and Mrs J. Gamburg, November 1967

Condition

The board appears to be sound, slightly uneven varnish. A small spot of paint loss near upper right corner and some frame abrasions along left vertical edge; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish which makes the surface difficult to read conclusively but there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held in its original wood frame with a linen inset.
