    Andre Sauret Publishers, Monte Carlo, 1963, signed in pencil and numbered 78 (from the edition of 250) on the justification page, the drawing appears on the verso of the justification page and is signed and dated Marc Chagall 1973 (lower right) and dedicated pour ami Gustav Zumsteg (lower left), contained in a Bristol-lined Arches wove cover. The box is covered with grey-green cloth, printed in gold on the front, in good condition, box slightly worn at the seam, faint offprint on text pages

Folio (14 1/4 x 10 3/4 in; 360 x 270 mm), comprising title page, text in French by Jean Leymarie, justification, table of contents and set of seven lithographs (including three in colors), on Arches paper, signed in pencil by the artist and the publisher on the justification page, copy number 78 of 250, unbound as issued. 
This copy includes an original crayon and watercolor drawing on double page (21 1/2 x 14 1/4 in; 461 x 360 mm) the verso of the justification page, signed and dated "Marc Chagall 1973" (lower right) and dedicated "pour ami Gustav Zumsteg" (lower left), contained in a Bristol-lined Arches wove cover. The box is covered with grey-green cloth, printed in gold on the front, in good condition, box slightly worn at the seam, faint offprint on text pages.

Gustav Zumsteg was one of the most important patrons of Zurich's modern-art museum Kunsthaus and assembled an important collection of modern works of Art including paintings as well as illustrated books, often dedicacted to him, as this nice copy of Chagall's Vitraux de Jérusalem.
