"I took a trip to my birthplace, at a time when it felt now or never. There were hectares of apple gardens that accompanied me in all the changing seasons. I used to sleep on an old apple tree, sit on the edge of the cliff and watch tender rose petals form clouds and get carried away by the wind, far beyond my little feet. I have never returned to those gardens ever since I left my birthplace, until that day, when it changed my life. It is magical." ADA YU From the artist's statement, 2013
