rectangular with wavy borders, overall decorated with gold posé sprays of flowers on a piqué ground, polished gold thumbpiece
Condition
a few patches of restoration overall, mainly to left front corner, right side of lid and around hinge, some losses to tortoiseshell and gold decoration, especially on edges
