of oblong form, translucent honey agate lid and incurved base, the gold mounts chased with rosettes, maker's mark illegible, charge and discharge marks of Henri Clavel & J.F. Kalendrin (1782-1789), Paris date letter, petite garantie and recense 1809-19, petite recense 1819-38, later French control mark (eagle's head)
