  • gonzalo alves, marble, brass
  • 91cm. high, 117cm. wide, 38.5cm. deep; 3ft., 3ft. 10in., 1ft. 3¼in.
the white Carara marble tops with gilt-metal three quarter galleries, above a central door with an inset brass grille, flanked by a pair of smaller doors with fret-carved decoration, fitted inside with two adjustable shelves, on a plinth 

Condition

These cabinets are in `country house' condition. The metals could benefit from cleaning according to taste,. The marbles have old minor chips and scratches and some minor staining. The parcel gilt moulding with chips. Later panels behind fret decoration. Old marks and scratches throughout particularly to the plinth of one cabinet. Minor losses to veneers and carved fret decoration particularly to the plinths. Fret work with some restored breaks.
