the associated grey marble top above a blind fret frieze with gadroon and egg-and-dart mouldings, the apron carved with floral festoons centred on a cartouche with a bearded mask, on two female caryatid supports, the hoof feet carved with bearded masks

Condition

This is in country house condition. The paint is later and is chipped throughout, there is evidence of original guilt surface to shipped areas. Both front feet rather chipped and cracked. One has a restored section to the hoof. Minor chips generally consistent with age and use. A beautifully carved and drawn table.
