- Black ink on paper
Arabic manuscript on paper, 4 lines to the page, written in naskh and thuluth script in black ink within cloud bands, surrounded by 7 cartouches filled with smaller script, interstices and borders filled with scrolling polychrome flowers and interlacing vines
Condition
In generally good overall condition, slight waterstaining to upper leaf edge, otherwise clean and bold, as viewed.

The present ijazeh was given to Muhammad Sadiq al-Nazifi Efendi, signed by his tutor Abdulrazzaq Fawzi, and six other masters of calligraphy: Hasan al-Rushdi, Mahmud Jalaluddin, Abdulrahman al-Ambari, Salih al-Zihni, Ahmad Hashim and Mehmed Amin Yumni.
