457 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 11 lines to the page, written in black muhaqqaq script, gold florets separating verses, catchwords, surah headings in large Eastern Kufic script in gold, f.1a with lobed shamsa enclosing heading in white thuluth script, following double page with illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, surah headings in large white Eastern Kufic script, text within cloud bands against a hatched ground filled with split palmettes, final folio with illuminated colophon, later brown morocco binding with earlier tooled elements, with flap
Condition
In reasonably good overall condition, thumbed, marginal paper repairs, some creasing, ink bold, shamsa and frontispiece slightly rubbed, as viewed.
