Arabic manuscript on paper, 33 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 5 lines to the page, written in muhaqqaq script in black ink, verses separated by gold florets pointed in blue and red, fifth verses marked by marginal roundels in gold outlined in blue, containing the Arabic word 'Khamsa', corresponding roundels with the word 'Ashr' marking tenth verses, opening double page illuminated frontispiece with headings executed in gold ornamental Kufic script against a blue ground decorated with white scrolling vines, borders filled with scrolling gold flowers, with 4 large medallions extending into the margins, contemporary binding decorated with large stellar motifs filled with geometric and scale patterns, with stencilled vine-scroll doublures

Condition
In generally good overall condition, a few paper repairs, some thumbing and minor waterstaining. binding repaired and with scuffs and abrasions, as viewed.
