Description

  • Gouache, ink and gold on paper
comprising 2 leaves, each painting surrounded by a thick border of polychrome interlocking split-palmette motifs, within which 4 columns of fine black nasta'liq script, the reverse of each leaf with 25 lines of nasta'liq script sprinkled with gold, each with two illuminated heading panels, ruled in colours and gold

Condition

In very good overall condition, colours and gold vivid and bright, minor stains and nicks to leaf edges, small repair to lower right hand corner, as viewed.
