Description
- PORCELAIN
- 18cm., 7 1/8 in. high
modelled by Johann Jacob Irminger, of four-sided form with a bulbous body applied with two satyr masks, the alternating sides with bouquets of flowers, resting upon a square stepped base with a long slender neck finished with a husk border.
Condition
This vase is in good condition. There is a minute nick to one corner on the spout of the vase.

Catalogue Note
Pairs of bottles were in the sales from the Johanneum in Dresden, 12-14 October 1920, lots 119 and 120. A pair of vases from the State collection with traces of cold decoration is in the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden, inv. no. PE 2872 and PE2873 a, b, and is illustrated in Triumph of the Crossed Swords, 2010, p. 171, cat. no. 15. A further example was sold at Christies London on 6 April 1981, lot 116.
