- walnut pine beech
with an arched back, scroll arms and a seat with a squab cushion, on carved cabriole supports, covered with associated 16th century Flemish verdure tapestry

Condition
Generally this chair is in `country house' condition. The tapestry is worn and separating in places and the upholstery could benefit from re-stuffing in places. The tapestry has some later rewoven areas. There is a hole in tapestry applied to left arm. The upholstery is split on the cushion seat and is torn and worn on the sides and back. One front leg broken and repaired.Rails wormed and with additional internal rails to give support. One front spandrel missing. Front rail loose and will need attention. Back legs possibly replaced. Front feet scuffed and could benefit from repolishing. Chair will need to be re-upholstered.
