Condition
The box in very good overall condition. There are two small holes to the surface of the design on the base (ca. 0,2 and 0,1cm wide) and a ca. 3 and 2cm long V-shaped scratch to the interior base on the lower compartment. The gilding is very rich in tone, the chased design very fine. There is some very minor wear to the gilding along the edges of the rim compartments. The jade plaque is finely carved with some tiny frits to the sharp edges of the design. The colour of the stone is of a slightly darker tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
