  • Gilt-splashed bronze
la panse ovoïde sous un petit col étranglé aux bords ourlés, reposant sur trois pieds formés de trompes d'éléphant, l'épaulement décoré de trois petits béliers allongés en relief

Condition

The vase is thickly cast and very heavy. The base has been reinforced from the interior and there is. ca. 2cm wide circular plug to the centre of the base visible on the exterior and interior of the vase. There is a ca. 2x2.5cm wide filled on area to base possibly to fill in a casting flaw. There are several small filled-in casting flaws on the lower part of the body (visible on the interior of the vase) and a ca. 8x5cm wide casting flaw on the upper part of he body which has been reinforced on the inside. There is light wear to the surface of the exterior and some scratching. There are some words in writing in black ink on the base and the amount of £ 15.
