Description

  • Gilt-bronze, copper, mother-of-pearl, jadeite, lapis-lazuli
la panse octogonale aux côtés arrondis entièrement ajourés, reposant sur quatre pieds polylobés, chaque pan décoré de deux dragons poursuivant la perle enflammée encadrant un trigramme incrusté de lapis lazuli et nacre au-dessus de vagues, le col orné de cabochons alternant lapis lazuli et nacre entre deux dragons, les bords plats de cabochons de nacre, le couvercle surmonté d'un lion bouddhiste à la gueule menaçante jouant avec une perle en jadéite  (2)

Condition

The border of the cover slightly warped, the censer in good overall condition with small parts of the openwork design missing just above one ruyi head below a trigram, one inlaid pearl chipped.
