Acquired in China in the 1930s.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

Please note that the two vases in the catalogue illustration are wrongly numbered. Lot 193 comprises the vases illustrated in the centre and right hand side of the catalogue illustration. Both vases are in overall good condition. There are minor fritts to some of the raised parts of the design. The smaller vase is attached to the wooden base.
