Executed on white laid paper, not laid down, fixed to the mount at two points on the upper edge. Catalogue Note
“This was an ecstatic moment of perfect comprehension, an experience of non-verbal communication after which we knew that we were bound to explore art and roam the world together, eager to discover more and more in an unusual mano a mano.” (Françoise Gilot in Picasso and Françoise Gilot, Paris-Vallauris, 1943-1953, Gagosian Gallery, New York, 2012, p. 307)
