The album includes images of the Viceroy Lord Ripon's visit to Puttiala in March 1884, with formal photographs of the Maharajah and his court, and others of the Viceroy Lord Dufferin and HRH the Duke of Connaught's visit to the Amir of Afghanistan, Abdur Rahman Khan, in 1885. The album also includes views of Patiala, Simla, Umritsur, Muttra, Benares, Darjeeling (and the railway), Bombay, Calcutta, Oodeypore, Jeypoor, Amber, and Bhurtpore.
